Losing the security of a job can be a scary thing, Losing the security of a job can be a scary thing, unless you're incredibly lucky and you already have something else lined up. Some days I worry about the future, what I'm going to do next, or I simply feel sad that I won't get to work with the awesome team I was in before. I have my creative business, but it's not ready to fully support me just yet. So I still need to find that steady day-to-day work and financial security.⁣ ⁣ Redundancy is hard and horrible and often happens at the worst time (like, for example, in the middle of a global pandemic!), but the key thing is to remember that it's in no way a reflection on you or your work. It's something that is out of your control. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈβ£ ⁣ I'm still not through the tunnel yet, but I'm extremely lucky to have a supporting family and friend network who are encouraging and patient. I'm so grateful for them. πŸ’›β£ ⁣ Life has thrown up a good few hurdles this past year, but I'm focusing hard on my mental health and getting back on track. Some days this means I just don't have the stamina for social media or replying to messages. I try, but it's a process. 😊 And a large part of that process is learning to look forward and dedicate my time to the things that will provide stability and security in the long-run.⁣ ⁣ (This graphic is from my upcoming design resources collection, Alchemical.
